KUSA - It's bunny season - especially in southern parts of the metro area, like Highlands Ranch.

If you find a bunny trapped somewhere near your home - like a window well - Jake Trujillo, from Envirocritter, says you should not try to move them with your bare hands.

Instead, he says, invest in a pair of leather gloves and slowly lift them out, holding their bottom end and feet - areas where they aren't as frail.

In other cases, he recommends using a long pole fish net to lift them up and carry them away.

Trujillo says younger bunnies are typically the ones who get stuck.
