KUSA – A popular dance studio in Adams County that attracts dancers from across Colorado and the rest of the country has suddenly become very popular with thieves.
BBoy Factory has been burglarized twice in the past eight days. The dance studio, located at 6401 Broadway, is one of the few informal dance studios in Colorado where people can express themselves through hip-hop.
The goal is to give kids, especially those on probation and adults a safe place to practice their art.
But that notion was turned upside this month when thieves stole $3,500 worth of equipment and merchandise from the studio.
The community rallied and helped raise enough money to buy new gear. Then just eight days later, burglars hit the studio again - this time making off with only a set of brand new speakers.
The owner says he's shocked, but working on moving forward.
The Adams County Sheriff's Office is investigating the burglaries but say they don't have a suspect yet.
Deputies say the best way to recover stolen electronics is to keep a record of serial numbers on your devices and equipment.
