KUSA - Police are investigating a second officer-involved shooting in Denver.

The shooting happened near 4750 Tejon Street around 6 p.m. Wednesday. There was an event going on at a funeral home at that location. Police initially said they didn't think the business was connected to the incident, but later said the suspect was planning to attend a funeral there.

Investigators say the fugitive unit followed a fugitive to the area and confronted the man. He was shot during an altercation with officers and died from his injuries.

The suspect is a 21-year-old man, with a criminal history that includes auto theft. He had been wanted for some time, according to police.

One officer suffered minor injuries in the incident. It's not clear how the officer was hurt, but police say he was not shot.

Another officer involved shooting was reported shortly before 4 p.m.

Police say they have no reason to believe the shootings are connected.
