DENVER - President Barack Obama landed at Denver International Airport around 6 p.m. Tuesday.
Obama then had dinner at the Wazee Super Club with a woman the White House is identifying only as Alex, whose boss voluntarily raised her pay the day after Obama's January State of the Union address. That's when Obama urged Congress to raise the federal minimum to $10.10 an hour.
After dinner, Obama walked down 15th Street and shook hands with people along the street before playing a game of pool with Governor Hickenlooper at Wynkoop.
On Wednesday, Obama will attend a fundraiser for Udall in Denver but it's off-limits to news cameras. Udall's office also says the senator will not attend an economic speech that Obama will deliver at Cheesman Park, ensuring that there will be no photos of the two men together.
The Denver Police Department says to expect delays along Interstate 70 and northeast Denver – and closures near Cheesman Park and downtown – during President Barack Obama's visit Tuesday evening and Wednesday night.
