ROCKY MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK – The body of an unidentified man was found early Friday morning below the popular Keyhole Route on Longs Peak.

No foul play is suspected.

Park rangers were first told about the body by a caller who said that he'd seen a body below the Ledges at about 7 a.m. Rangers reached the body at 10:15 a.m.

The body was flown to the helipad at Upper Beaver Meadows in Rocky Mountain National Park and was transferred to the Boulder County Coroner's Office.

No identification will be released until the victim's next of kin are notified.

The incident is under investigation.

Longs Peak stands at an elevation of 14,259 feet and is one of the most popular 14ers in Colorado.
