KUSA - Heavy rain has caused minor flooding in areas around the Front Range Thursday. Street flooding was reported in Longmont and in Colorado Springs.
Colorado Springs Fire crews rescued a driver from her stalled car. A Tweet from the department was urging residents to refrain from entering water covered roads.
KOAA-TV is reporting street flooding has forced the closure of Northgate Boulevard near Highway 83 in northern Colorado Springs. Many of the roads nearby are under water.
The National Weather Service issued a flash flood warning for the Waldo Canyon burn scar. A thunderstorm was producing heavy rain over the northern half of the Waldo Canyon burn scar. Up to one inch of rain has already fallen.
