CANON CITY, Colo. (AP) - Authorities have identified four motorcyclists suspected of attacking a Denver-area family in southern Colorado over July 4th weekend.

The Canon City Daily Record reported Fridaythat the Custer County Sheriff's Office has issued arrest warrants for three men and one woman believed to be part of the Valiant motorcycle gang. The newspaper didn't name the suspects or victims at the request of authorities.

Sheriff Fred Jobe says a 25-year-old man traveling with his girlfriend and their 3-year-old son tried to pass a group of motorcyclists near Wetmore July 5 but the bikers blocked him. Jobe said one of the bikers forced him off the road at gunpoint. They allegedly hit him through the driver's window and smashed the vehicle's headlights, slashed the tires and stabbed the driver's door with a knife.
