GRAND COUNTY - The body of a woman who was swept away Saturday afternoon was discovered Sunday.
According to the Grand County Sheriff Rod Johnson, dispatchers received a call about a woman who had been separated from her kayak after it flipped .
She was on the Colorado River at Gore Canyon Rapids, towards the upper end of the Gore Canyon attempting to climb up a cliff-like bank.
Grand County Search and Rescue and the Grand County Coroner's Office are in the process of recovering woman's body. Her name was not released.
