BOULDER – Two young bears took it upon themselves to show up uninvited to a wedding on Saturday near the Red Lion Inn on Canyon Boulevard.
The bears are thought to be around 3-years-old and weighing about 350 pounds, the Boulder Daily Camera reports.
When the first wedding ended and crews started getting ready for a second ceremony, the two bears decided to get closer. That's when a Boulder deputy shot them with bean bags, and they took off running.
Using bean bags is the preferred method of scaring bears away, according to the Boulder County Sheriff's Office, so they remember a "bad encounter with people" -- hopefully protecting them in the future.
