Colorado Springs police say Shetina was supposed to take the child to her grandfather's house, which was nearby. When the mother tried to check on her daughter the Tuesday, she realized the 2-year-old was missing.

9Wants to Know has learned that Shetina had only know the girl's mom for two weeks. Police say Shetina is a drug user. A close relative of Shetina says she has two children of her own, but she does not have custody of those children. That relative says she does not think Shetina would intentionally harm any child.

Police say Shetina may face charges of kidnapping and auto theft.
