WASHINGTON - President Barack Obama is honoring 24 veterans on Tuesday with the Medal of Honor, including Joe Baldonado of Colorado who died in combat during the Korean War.

9NEWS Anchor Kyle Clark is at the ceremony in Washington DC where the president is presenting Joe's brother Charlie with the medal for Joe's heroic actions that took his life in 1950.

This group of veterans, made up mostly of Hispanic, African-American and Jewish veterans, is being honored after a review of records of service that were potentially overlooked due to racial discrimation.
