The Denver Outlaws will remain atop the Major League Lacrosse standings for another week after a gutsy 9-6 win over the Chesapeake Bayhawks on Saturday.
Outlaws attack Eric Law and midfielder Justin Pennington shared the team lead for goals with two apiece. Goalie Jesse Schwartzman faced 34 shots and made a season-high 28 saves in the win. Defender Michael Simon scored the Outlaws' only two-point shot of the night, taking a ball into the Bayhawks' zone and firing a shot from the top of the arc.
The Outlaws will hit the road in their next game, traveling to Rochester for a 11:00am MT game on June 29th. They will be back at Sports Authority Field on July 4th for their annual Fourth of July game with fireworks to follow.
