KUSA - Maria Hundley, who grew up in Littleton, won event titles in vault, balance beam, and uneven bars at the 2014 USA Gymnastics Women's Collegiate National Championships on April 13.

"The entire experience of being at nationals was exhilarating to say the least. I was just so thankful to be able to be on the floor competing with my amazing team behind me the entire way," Hundley said.

Hundley, who is a sophomore, competes at Seattle Pacific University.

US Air Force Academy senior and team captain, Linnaea Hance of Bend, Ore., shared a three-way tie with Hundley on uneven bars with a score of 9.85 and was named the USAG Outstanding Senior Gymnast.

Hundley went unmatched on vault and balance beam scoring a 9.85 on both events.

"The scores and placements were the last thing on my mind. Competing at that point was just about enjoying every second and realizing how lucky I was to be able to represent SPU gymnastics at the national level," she said.

The championships took place in Providence, R.I at Brown University's Pizzitola Sports Center.
