DENVER BUSINESS JOURNAL - It's been nearly 30 years since PGA Tour golfers have played at Cherry Hills Country Club, and eight years since they've competed anywhere in metro Denver.The BMW Championship, Sept. 1-7 at Cherry Hills, will end that drought, much to the delight of Colorado golfers and fans.

"I think there's a pent-up demand, as evidenced in ticket sales and hospitality sales, which have been robust," said George Solich, Denver oilman and general chairman of the 2014 BMW Championship. "It means a lot to have these players back, particularly at Cherry Hills."

It will mean a lot for metro Denver business.

The BMW Championship, Sept. 1-7 at Cherry Hills, will end that drought. 9NEWS at 6 a.m. 08/15/14.
