KUSA - After Thompson Valley jumped out to a 17-7 lead at the half, Roosevelt stormed back and went on to score 27 points in the second half and defeat the Eagles 34-25.

Roosevelt made a statement early in the game after Adrian Pastrana returned the opening kickoff for a touchdown, but Thompson Valley stole the momentum back and scored 17 unanswered points.

The Roughriders looked like a new team coming out of the locker room and were led by sophomore quarterback, Cameron Hurtado, who scored three of the teams four touchdowns in the second half.

Roosevelt will travel to play Windsor next Friday at 7 p.m. and Thompson Valley will look to snag their first win of the season when they host Greeley Central Sep. 5 at 7 p.m.
