KUSA – The Rocky Mountain Lobos went up 24-7 at halftime against the Brighton Bulldogs, however, the 3 points in the 4th quarter by the Lobos was the most impressive.
On 4th down, Rocky Mountain lined up for a field goal from 56 yards out. While Brighton was thinking it was going to be a fake, senior kicker/punter Alex Kinney looked calm and confident and nailed it through the uprights. Kinney put the Lobos up 27. Rocky Mountain ended up winning with a final of 34-7. Kinney has given the CU Buffs a solid verbal commitment, according to rivals.com.
Rocky Mountain opens up the season 1-0 and will play Legend in its home opener on Thursday at 6 p.m. Meanwhile, Brighton will travel to Mountain Vista on Friday, kick-off is set for 7 p.m.
