KUSA - The Denver Nuggets have never drafted a player at the 11th spot of the first round in the NBA Draft. They have, however, had two players with great careers that were chosen by other teams with the 11th pick.

Before coming to the Nuggets, Kiki Vandeweghe and Lafayette "Fat" Lever were 11th picks by Dallas and Portland respectively. Both of them had stellar careers with Denver in the 1980s.

Lever is the all-time leader in steals for the Nuggets and averaged 17 points per game in his six years with Denver.

Vandeweghe played four seasons with the Nuggets and during the 1983-1984 season, he scored 51 and 50 points in two games. He also earned two appearances in the NBA All-Star game the last two seasons in Denver.

The NBA Draft is set for Thursday, June 26, and the Nuggets would be very happy to draft a player with "Fat" and Kiki's talents.
