KUSA - Chauncey Billups is proof a kid with Colorado ties can wear a Nuggets uniform. Former DU Pioneer Chris Udofia wouldn't mind doing the same.
On Monday, the Denver Nuggets held another pre-draft workout on the practice court of the Pepsi Center. This particular workout included George Washington's Isaiah Armwood (6-9, 208), Weber State's Davion Berry (6-4, 183), UNLV's Roscoe Smith (6-8, 205), University of Denver's Chris Udofia (6-6, 205), North Carolina State's T.J. Warren (6-8, 220) and Florida's Scottie Wilbekin (6-2, 176).
After practice, Udofia talked with the media about the difference between an NBA and college workout. The former captain for DU led the Summit League in blocked shots and was the league's Defensive Player of the Year last season.
"Everyone's good at this level," said the 6 feet 6 inches forward. "You know in college, everyone is good, but this is just to a higher extreme and just a small percentage of players are able to make it to this next level so it's an honor to be able to be out here and competing and practicing. I still have a lot of work to do and a lot of room for improvement."
The Nuggets hold the 11th overall pick in the first round as well as the 41st and 56th picks in the second round of the June 26 NBA Draft.
