The Denver Pioneers' run in the NCAA Tournament came to an end quickly, as the Pioneers fell to Boston College 6-2 in the Northeast Regional Semifinal.

Boston College started the scoring just 25 seconds into the first period, and would eventually go on to lead 6-0 by the midway point in the second period. Denver freshman Trevor Moore ended the scoring drought with 52 seconds remaining in the second period to make the score 6-1 with 20 minutes remaining.

"We knew in order to have success today, we had to play near perfect hockey and unfortunately Boston College today," head coach Jim Montgomery told DenverPioneers.com. "For our season, I am really proud of our group for winning the NCHC championship in our first season in the league and adding to the tradition and legacy of Pioneer hockey."

As they look to next year, the Pioneers will only graduate three seniors from their NCHC Championship team.
