KUSA – The DU Pioneers have never won an NCAA Semifinal game. They hope to change that this Saturday behind past experience and a current 13 game winning streak.

"We were really close, we were one goal away and it kind of left a bitter taste in our mouth," says Junior Attacker Wesley Berg.

The Pioneers have moved on from what happened a year ago in the Final Four of the NCAA Lacrosse Championship, but they haven't forgotten.

"I think there's a lot you can learn personally and as a whole team," says Midfielder Jeremy Noble. What we've learned is we can't be satisfied with just getting to Saturday. That's not enough for this team anymore."

"For me, last year was my first Final Four that I played in and I was a little star struck," recalls Midfielder Erik Adamson. "You know, you're happy to be there and now we've been there, we've played on that big stage and now we're hungry and ready for more."

Last year the Pioneers lost in the semifinals by one goal to Syracuse. This season they are back in the semis for a third time in four years and are approaching Saturday's game against Duke with a more business like attitude.

"We haven't accomplished our goal yet," says Sophomore Attacker Jack Bobzien. "It's a good step getting to the Final Four but we still have to get (to the championship game) Monday and win the whole thing."

"Our older guys have been there twice now and this is their third time," says head coach Bill Tierney. "They've played some big games, (they've) played a lot of ACC schools over the years now. Now the approach has got to be: let's not just enjoy being there, let's go win one."

Fifth ranked DU faces top-seeded Duke in the semifinals Saturday at 11 a.m. The game will be held at M&T Bank in Baltimore. The game will be broadcast on ESPN2 and 102.3 ESPN Radio. For Pioneer fans wanting to watch with other fans, the school has organized watch parties near campus:
