Metro State finished their domination of Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference in emphatic fashion.
The Roadrunners defeated UC-Colorado Springs Saturday night 77-71 in the RMAC Shootout championship game to earn the title. They have yet to lose a game within their conference this season and garnered the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. It's the second consecutive title and 11th overall.
Nicholas Kay scored 22 points and grabbed 9 rebounds for the Roadrunners in the championship game and was named tournament most valuable player.
The Roadrunners will likely host a regional tournament which will be determined during the NCAA Selection Show that is set to air Sunday night.
