KUSA - The Colorado Buffaloes will play the Pittsburgh Panthers in the first round of the NCAA Tournament Thursday in Orlando, Fla. This is the third consecutive year the Buffaloes men's basketball program has made the NCAA Tournament, something that hasn't happened in school history.
CU head coach Tad Boyle often credits the players for the team's success, but his players disagree.
"He's obviously made it a winning culture, and that the biggest testament to what he's done," forward Josh Scott said Monday.
The CU players have obviously bought into what Tad has sold them and recognize their coach is very popular.
"He's the only person I know that has a Tweet name, 'Roll Tad' - he's a super star," Scott said.
The players also know what makes Boyle such a great coach.
"I think he's probably one of the best coaches in the country, that's why I came here," sophomore guard Xavier Talton said Monday.
"He's put a lot of confidence in all of us and I think he's ready for this," Talton continued.
Boyle's record in four seasons at CU is 92-51.
