Being versatile is essential for any student athlete playing college basketball. You must be agile and strong, able to drive to the hoop but also shoot a jumper, and they must be skilled on the court as well as in the classroom.

And as the Buffs extend into postseason play – in, of all places, Las Vegas for the Pac-12 Conference Tournament and Orlando for their opening round of the NCAA Tournament – their schoolwork must remain a priority. Academic specialists provide support for the students on these road trips and even proctor tests so the students don't fall behind.

"I think they appreciate me at the end; hate me now and thank me later," Athletic Director of Athletics Mindy Sclaro said. "Graduation is my championship game."
