For a second year in a row, Metro State was dramatically knocked off. Mitch McCarron's shot – after a pinpoint ¾ of the court pass – rimmed out at the buzzer for the Roadrunners.

Central Missouri won 71-69 to advance to the championship game.

The Mules snapped Metro State's 29 game winning streak. Brandon Jefferson scored 21 points and Nicholas Kay added 17.
