When wide receiver Marqueston Huff and defensive back Robert Herron talk about playing for the University of Wyoming, they don't mention having to endure the cold Wyoming winters, or how their state in the least populous in the U.S.
They talk about pride.
"The whole state of Wyoming, throughout my entire career, has been great to me," says Huff. "I am forever indebted to that whole community and that whole region. For me, I just want to make the whole state of Wyoming proud."
Both Huff (from Texarkana, TX) and Herron (from Los Angeles, CA) went through huge culture shocks when they arrived in Laramie. But since then, they both attribute that experience to their personal growth off the football field.
"It made me a better man," said Herron. "I've improved a lot in my career, and I'm glad that people could see it paid off."
Multiple NFL Draft preview sites have projected both Herron and Huff to go in the third round of the NFL Draft. Each player said they don't care where they are selected, just as long as each hears his name called between May 8th and May 10th.
