KUSA- It didn't take long for the Denver Broncos to partake in this year's NFL free agency that started at 2 pm MDT Tuesday. About an hour after the free agent flood gates were opened the Broncos came to terms with Safety T.J. Ward, formerly of the Browns.
In 2013 Ward had 123 tackles, two interceptions, one and a half sacks, and one forced fumble in 16 starts for the Browns.
"He'll bring energy and toughness to our secondary," John Elway said via Twitter Tuesday afternoon.
Ward is also a first cousin to free agent running back Maurice Jones-Drew.
