KUSA - The Denver Broncos have agreed to a three-year deal with free-agent wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders, the team announced Sunday morning.
The Broncos have scheduled a news conference at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Dove Valley to introduce Sanders.
Sanders has been meeting with a number of teams this week (Jacksonville, Tampa Bay, Kansas City), but the former Steelers third-round draft pick out of SMU has been slowed by foot injures since Pittsburgh's 2010 Super Bowl win. He signed a one-year deal with the Steelers before the 2013 season.
Last year, Sanders (5-foot-11, 180 pounds) had a career-best 67 catches for 740 yards and six touchdown catches. In four seasons, he has 161 career catches for 2,030 yards and 11 touchdowns. He turns 27 on Monday.
He was injured in the second quarter of the Steelers' Super Bowl win against Green Bay and later had surgery on both feet. He missed five games in 2011 because of knee and foot injures, and injured his foot during last season's game against Detroit.
