KUSA - Broncos safety Rahim Moore is practicing with his teammates again, which seems like a miracle considering what he went through last November.

November 17th was the last time Moore was on the football field. He played with pain in his lower leg for one quarter, then left the game. It turned out his pain was much more serious than anyone thought, however he didn't find that out until the early hours of November 18th after he checked into the ER at SkyRidge Hospital.

"They got the doctors right on it and he went in and had the surgery," said interim head coach Jack Del Rio at his mid-day press conference on the 18th. "It can be a very serious injury, it can lead to a loss of limb or potentially a loss of a life, it's a very significant injury."

Moore had acute compartment syndrome and doctors said if he hadn't come to the ER when he did, they would have had to amputate his leg. Now, after six months of painstaking rehab, he's back with a smile from ear to ear.

"The process was tough, because I had to get my strength back up," said Moore Wednesday at Broncos Headquarters. "But at the end of the day, my quickness and my speed was still there. I was very surprised to be honest with you. I didn't know how I was going to be. I didn't know what to expect."

Now Moore expects to be a part of the defense again, as long as he can remember how to put his jersey on right. Let's just say he was a little excited to get back out with his teammates again.

"It was funny, because I'm walking out of the locker room, my jersey's backwards. So I'm trying to put it on. Then I put the wrong arm in, through the right side… I was just all over the place. I felt like I'd never done this before. And then when I got out here, it felt like I never left. I feel like I was sharp today. I did everything I was supposed to do and just communicating and it was fun. It was a great time being with my teammates."
