KUSA- What started as a call to the 9News Sports desk quickly turned into an act of kindness by Rahim Moore of the Denver Broncos that no one expected. Thursday night about 9:35 pm a loyal 9News viewer called to get a contact address for the Denver Broncos PR staff. The caller's relative is being treated for compartment syndrome, the same injury that sidelined Moore last season and nearly took his life.

The 9News staffer gave the viewer the appropriate contact information and an email was sent and quickly answered by Patrick Smyth, Broncos Executive Director of Media Relations. Smyth then texted Moore at 9:42 pm and what happened next surprised all parties involved.

Moore told Smyth that he not only wanted to help out but he wanted to go to the hospital immediately to visit the patient who was suffering from the same syndrome he is healing from. By 10:15 pm Moore was sitting bedside of the man in his 30's giving support and even organized a prayer circle with the group.

The patient and his family were in awe of Moore's compassion and willingness to drop what he was doing to visit a total stranger at the hospital late at night.
