DENVER - Tickets for individual Denver Broncos games went on sale Monday at 11 a.m. and disappeared in moments.
Many fans who tried to purchase tickets on Monday found themselves competing with ticket buyers all across the country. The less expensive tickets disappeared very quickly, and then the other tiers of tickets disappeared right behind them.
Although the Broncos attempt to control the distribution of tickets, many of those sold on Monday will end up in the hands of resellers who will double or even triple the price of the tickets as they hit the secondary market.
The team is also offering half-price tickets. Those tickets went on sale at 1 p.m., but they were only available through the Ticketmaster phone system or through www.ticketmaster.com.
A total of 2,000 half-price tickets will be available on Monday.
Some of the half-price tickets still remain as of Monday evening. They will be available at the Broncos ticket office on Tuesday.
