DENVER - On Thursday, the National Football League fined Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning $8,268 for his taunting infraction during Saturday's preseason game against the Houston Texans.

During the game, Texans safety D.J. Swearinger hit Broncos wide receiver Wes Welker, causing him to suffer a concussion.

After the injury, Manning threw the second of two touchdown passes to Emmanuel Sanders in the second quarter. While running to the end zone to celebrate, Manning got in Swearinger's face and lightly headbutted him.

He was flagged for taunting.
