KUSA - The Commons on Champa is celebrating its first year in business. The city-owned space is leased by the Downtown Denver Partnership, and over the past year, it has become a resource for entrepreneurs and nonprofits.

The site hosted 240 events in the past year and many included visits from speakers who can help startups find the resources they need to be successful. A satellite office of the Denver Office of Economic Development is there every day.

The founders of Sitter are often found at The Commons strategizing and planning the continued growth of their business, which is an app that allows people to find, book and pay for a babysitter all within the user's trusted network of friends. Sitter has been named one of the 50 Colorado Startups to Watch.
