3 pedestrians injured after van plows through gate in downtown Denver

The crash is not being considered an act of terrorism, according to DPD.

KUSA - Three pedestrians were taken to the hospital Sunday afternoon after a driver broke through a gate while leaving a parking structure in downtown Denver and plowed into them.

The crash occurred at around 2:25 p.m. near 15th and Stout streets, according to Denver Police Department spokesperson John White.

White says the driver was a man, but did not identify him by name. He says police are investigating how the van broke through the gate, but says at this point, they don't believe what occurred was an act of terrorism.

It's unclear if alcohol was a factor in the crash.

All three pedestrians were injured -- one possibly had severe injuries, White said.

It's unclear what charges the driver involved may face.
