CDOT's tweeted road closures and places to avoid

KUSA - With bad weather comes bad traffic, or worse. 

The Colorado Department of Transportation has tweeted a few places that are closed, or that you should avoid in this snowy weather.

  • U.S. Route 40 is closed both ways at Rabbit Ears Pass because of a crash. There is no estimated time of reopening.
  • U.S. Route 36 is closed both ways from Estes Parks to Lyons because of the weather. There is no estimated time of reopening.
  • Eisenhower Tunnel on Interstate 70 was closed, but is open now
  • CDOT advises against travel on Interstate 25's Monument Hill and the I-70 mountain corridor because of snow conditions.
