Crossing issues delay A line for second day in a row

DENVER - For the second date in a row, crossing gate issues are causing delays on the A line between Denver International Airport and Union Station.

RTD confirmed the delays at around 8 a.m. Thursday, saying that due to crossing issues at York, Clayton, Steele and Dahlia, trains were experiencing 20 to 30 minute delays.

Crews were working to make repairs.

This same issue was to blame for up to 20 minute delays on Wednesday.

The A-line has been plagued with problems since it opened in April.

The Federal Railroad Administration granted RTD a 90-day extension to fix the crossing gates – which have been responsible for a brunt of the issues – earlier this month.

The A line has operated under a temporary waiver since it opened on April 22.
