One person hit by commuter rail in Denver

The A-Line was briefly shut down from Union Station to Central Park Station early Friday

DENVER - Denver police are investigating a commuter rail crash that sent one person to the hospital.

Police tweeted just after 1 a.m. Friday that a pedestrian had been taken to the hospital after the crash at 38th Avenue and Blake Street. Investigators couldn't say how the person was hit or what condition the person is in.

A rider alert posted on RTD's website explains that A line passengers will need to use a shuttle bus between Denver Union Station and Central Park Station that would stop at the 38th and Blake Station and Colorado Station, but a 9NEWS crew saw the A line running as normal just before 4:30 a.m.
