DENVER - Crews expect to work much of Friday repairing a 16-inch-diameter water main that broke early in the morning.
Water was seen flooding 6th Avenue at around 6 a.m. after the break was first reported. Sixth will be closed from Grant to Logan streets until the repairs are done.
The cast iron pipe was first installed in 1890, according to Denver Water.
People on 6th between Grant and Washington streets, as well as Logan and Pennsylvania streets between East Fifth Avenue and East Sixth Avenue will be out of water until the repairs are done.
