KUSA - Six cows died after a cattle truck rolled over on eastbound Interstate 70 near Georgetown Tuesday morning, causing delays for a few hours as crews worked to clean up the apparent accident.

Surviving cattle were seen wandering around near the highway.

Colorado State Patrol says the semi's brakes went out, causing it to rollover at around 9:30 a.m. The driver wasn't hurt.

The road has since been cleaned up.

There were 80 cows in the truck. Fifty five have been rounded up, and the rest are still roaming, according to 9NEWS Reporter Matt Renoux.

The Colorado Department of Transportation, Colorado State Patrol, Animal Control and Clear Creek County firefighters worked together to load up the surviving cattle.
