Truck fire leads to grass fire on I-70 near Strasburg

KUSA - Westbound Interstate 70 has reopened after it was closed for a time early Tuesday morning near Strasburg when a semi-truck malfunction led to a grass fire.

The truck caught fire just before 3 a.m., leading to a brush fire along the Interstate, according to Strasburg Fire.

The blaze burned two to three acres before it was brought under control.

The truck driver is ok.

There’s no word on what caused the truck to catch fire.
