Flight out of Denver diverted due to smoke in cockpit

SALT LAKE CITY – A flight from Denver to Honolulu was diverted to Salt Lake City Friday afternoon after reports of smoke in the cockpit, passenger Jason Reiter told 9NEWS.

United Flight 328 landed safely in Salt Lake City. Reiter tells us the plane was met on the tarmac by firefighters.

KSL, the NBC station in Salt Lake City, reports that no one was injured. United confirms that the flight landed at 3:24 p.m. after reports of an electrical odor.

FlightAware shows that the plane was supposed to land in Honolulu at 2:16 p.m.
