This morning and today: A rain and snow mix for the metro area for the rest of this morning. At 10:00 a.m. this morning some heavy snow reports came into the 9NEWS Weather Center. Evergreen and Bailey both reported nearly 10 inches of heavy wet snowfall, while nearly a foot of snow has fallen in the northern mountains. It will stay chilly in the metro area today with mainly rain showers continuing. Be ready for winter drivin conditions, However. Especially if you're driving up along the front range foothills above 7,000 ft. Dress warmly too; daytime temperatures will be in the upper 40s to near 50.
