KUSA - The last week of August will bring unsettled weather to Colorado.
Strong storms moved on to the Front Range for the Monday afternoon commute, making it a wet drive home. One-inch diameter hail fell in Parker. The same storm produced wind gusts that reached up to 65 mph.
Weather hazards include heavy downpours, strong winds and lots of lightning.
South Metro Fire says lightning caused a small attic fire inside a home in the Pinery. Lightning may be the cause of downed trees the Douglas County neighborhood.

Storms should wrap up before 10 p.m. around the metro area, with skies becoming partly cloudy. Tomorrow morning, we could see some areas of fog with highs in the mid-to-upper 70s and a better chance for locally heavy rain. Temperatures will remain below average through the end of the week with drier and warmer weather taking over.
