Keystone says it will open on Nov. 18

SUMMIT COUNTY - Now that the election’s over, we have another pressing issue to confront: the lack of snow in the High Country, and how it’s really putting a damper on early skiing.

Keystone Resort has pushed its opening back before, and now, says it plans to start up its lifts on Nov. 18.

Arapahoe Basin is the only Colorado ski area that’s already opening. Loveland expects to open on Thursday.

Keystone officials say colder temperatures are helping with snowmaking.

Breckenridge expects to open shortly after Keystone, but no concrete date has been set.
