The non-profit Community Collaborative Rain, Hail & Snow Network (CoCoRaHS) was founded at Colorado State University in 1998. The program has grown considerably over the years and now relies on volunteer observers in each of the 64 counties in Colorado to record daily precipitation. This data is typically updated around 7 a.m. each day.
