Colorado graduations postponed, moved due to spring storm

The seats are covered with snow.

Due to a highly unusual and powerful spring storm, several outdoor graduation ceremonies scheduled for this week have been either postponed or moved.

Thursday:

Red Rocks is closed, so all graduations scheduled for that venue have been either moved or postponed.

The Columbine High School graduation at Red Rocks has been rescheduled for 1 p.m. Sunday at the DU Magness Arena. 

At Green Mountain High School, graduation was moved inside in the gym. Overflow seating with a livestream is slated for the auditorium. 

Bear Creek High School graduation has been moved to Denver Coliseum at 7 p.m. on Thursday night.

The Pleasant View Elementary School closing ceremony has been postponed until 5 p.m. on Tuesday.  

Friday:

Red Rocks will be closed Friday, so all graduations scheduled for that venue have been moved to other locations.

School of Mines Stadium will also be closed Friday, so graduations there have also been moved.

The Golden High School graduation has been moved the 9 a.m. Friday morning in the school gym.

Dakota Ridge High School's graduation will now be held at 9 a.m. at the Denver Coliseum on Friday.

Evergreen High School also had to move their graduation venue. It will now be held at 2 p.m. at the Denver Coliseum.

The Chatfield High School graduation will also be held at the Denver Coliseum on Friday. Theirs will be at 7 p.m. on Friday.

Saturday:

Conifer High School has chosen to move their graduation ceremony indoors on Saturday. It will now be held at 11 a.m. in the school gym.
