Red Cross opens shelter in Estes Park for May snow

KUSA - Red Cross is coming to the rescue of those who may be impacted by the spring snow in Estes Park.

A shelter opened at 5 p.m. at the Presbyterian Community Church on the 1700 block of Brodie Ave.

Anyone traveling in the affected area that is in need of a warm, safe place to go should go to the Red Cross shelter.

Volunteers will be at the shelter to provide food, shelter, along with emotional and minor medical support.

The Colorado National Guard snow response team also dispatched to Douglas, Larimer and Weld counties in their "snow cats"
