  • Flash Flood Warning

    Eagle County, Colorado

Start: August 21 at 8:08 PM MST

    Details

End: August 21 at 9:08 PM MST

COC037-220345- /O.CON.KGJT.FF.W.0028.000000T0000Z-180822T0345Z/ /00000.0.ER.000000T0000Z.000000T0000Z.000000T0000Z.OO/ Eagle CO- 814 PM MDT TUE AUG 21 2018 ...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 945 PM MDT FOR SOUTHWESTERN EAGLE COUNTY... At 811 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated showers capable of producing additional heavy rain across and in the vicinity of the warned area. Radar indicates 0.30 to 0.50 inches of rain has fallen so far. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly. This includes Colorado 82 between mile markers 19 and 20, and between mile markers 22 and 23. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Remain alert for flooding even in locations not receiving rain. Arroyos, streams, and rivers can become raging killer currents in a matter of minutes, even from distant rainfall. Move away from recently burned areas. Life-threatening flooding of creeks, roads and normally dry arroyos is likely. The heavy rains will likely trigger rockslides, mudslides and debris flows in steep terrain, especially in and around these areas. && LAT...LON 3940 10698 3936 10703 3936 10705 3939 10710 3947 10710 3949 10704 3947 10697 $$
