Floyd Ciruli provides an independent perspective on politics for 9NEWS.
He founded Ciruli Associates, a research and consulting firm specializing in public policy and research, in 1985. Clients include Colorado corporations and business and civic associations.
Mr. Ciruli holds a law degree from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. and a bachelor’s degree cum laude in political science from UCLA. He is a member of the American Association of Public Opinion Research (AAPOR), and is the past-president of the Pacific Chapter of AAPOR (PAPOR).
Mr. Ciruli is the Director of the Crossley Center for Public Opinion Research at the University of Denver’s Josef Korbel School of International Studies. He is an adjunct professor teaching public opinion and foreign policy. Also at DU, Mr. Ciruli is a board member of the Social Science Foundation Korbel School as well as past-president of the Georgetown Law Alumni Board and the Denver Athletic Club. He is a native of Pueblo, Colorado.
Mr. Ciruli is widely known to Colorado audiences as a pollster and political analyst not only for 9NEWS, but KOA Radio and The Denver Post. Most recently, he has appeared on NBC Nightly News, CBS Evening News, PBS News Hour, CNN with John King, Fox News Special Report, Fox News with Neil Cavuto, National Public Radio and the BBC.
He regularly speaks before Colorado and national audiences on issues regarding public opinion.
He publishes political and public opinion analyses in The Denver Post, The Denver Business Journal and, before its demise, the Rocky Mountain News. Commentary has appeared in Time and The Economist.
