Nearly 50,000 cordless electric chainsaws are being recalled due to a possible defect.
The recall involves Greenworks, Kobalt and Snapper brands of cordless electric chainsaws, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.
The saw's chain brake guard can fail and allow the chainsaw to continue operating, posing an injury hazard to users, although so far no injuries have been reported.
The three brands of saws were sold at Lowe's and Amazon.com between January 2015 and October 2017 for between $170 and $300.
Consumers are asked to stop using the saws and contact manufacturer Hongkong Sun Rise Trading for a free repair. You can learn more about this recall at CPSC.gov.
