9NEWS Director of Marketing and Brand selected for Leadership Denver Class of 2020

DENVER — Blair Nelson, 9NEWS Director of Marketing and Brand, was recently selected as a member of the Denver Metro Chamber Foundation’s Leadership Denver Class of 2020 development program.

Each year, up to 66 individuals are selected to participate in the11 month educational program. The Chamber selects the applicants comprised of diverse leaders committed to serving as catalysts and sustainers of positive community change.

“I am beyond excited to participate in Leadership Denver Class of 2020. I am very passionate about making Denver a better place to live, work and grow with other influential leaders in different industries. Most importantly, I am very proud and honored to represent 9NEWS," Nelson said of her acceptance to the 2020 class,

When asked what she looks forward to gaining from the program, Nelson replied, “I believe that we will all challenge each other to provoke positive change and bring our unique and individual talents to the table that will make for a stronger community.”

Mark Cornetta, 9NEWS General Manager, recommended Nelson for the leadership program and stated “Blair is a special individual. She has a great deal of curiosity and enthusiasm to match her intelligence. She will truly benefit from the Denver Metro Chamber Foundation’s Leadership program while also contributing to the other’s experience. I have no doubt that the connections she makes will together help our community grow and prosper. I am excited to see what she and the class of 2020 can do for our great city and state.”
